Services
I work with adults and adolescents presenting with a broad spectrum of concerns. These include, most notably depression and anxiety as well as trauma, PTSD, grief, inattention, eating issues, relationship issues, school issues, self esteem issues, adoption, sleep, and history of sexual and/or physical abuse.
Sometimes the goals of treatment will require only a few sessions. Other times, longer term work is needed. The length of our collaboration is something we would discuss initially and revisit as needed as the work continues.
My Approach
My therapeutic style is integrative: I draw from a variety of ideas in the field of psychology, including psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive-behavioral. My extensive training and work with adolescents and adults in different therapeutic modalities and settings is broad and diverse. This breadth of training and experience has allowed me to integrate different modalities and customize therapy depending on the client and their presenting concerns. Through therapy, we will work together to understand both the current and past origins of presenting issues; clarifying why we act and feel the way we do, and why certain thought and behavioral patterns persist. This self-awareness allows us to cultivate a more compassionate view of ourselves and ultimately, effect change in our lives.
